The Training Course on Marine Radiochemistry will be hosted by the State Key Laboratory of Marine Environmental Science, Xiamen University, China from June 8-10, 2016. The event is supported by SCOR (and its 146 Working Group - Radioactivity in the Ocean, 5 decades later), Xiamen University and NSF.
The purpose of this course is to train graduate students and young professionals who are interested in or will pursue radiochemistry research and management.
The course will include in class lectures and hands-on experiments in the laboratory equipped with a variety of measurement tools. Subjects to be covered include natural, anthropogenic, and cosmogenic radioisotopes in marine environments; radioanalytical methods; and tracer and dating techniques.
